In a move that further strengthens the presence of African storytelling on the global stage, Zimbabwean journalist and media practitioner Usher Takudzwa Nyambi has been appointed as the Contributing Editor for Southern Africa by Rolling Stone Africa. Nyambi will play a key role in spotlighting Southern African talent and culture for the iconic publication, known for its authoritative voice in music, politics, and culture journalism.

“I’m humbled and delighted to take on this opportunity,” Nyambi said in a statement. “My goal for this role is to spotlight African talent and continue to share about the ever-evolving landscape of African creativity. Nyambi is no stranger to telling African stories. An accomplished writer, photographer, and filmmaker, he has made a name for himself by sharing stories about Africa across a variety of platforms. His work has been featured in prestigious publications such as GQ South Africa, Glamour South Africa, Okay Africa, and Hypebeast Africa, among others. With a career spanning more than 20 countries globally, Nyambi has established himself as a versatile storyteller committed to amplifying African voices.
In addition to his journalistic achievements, Nyambi holds an international relations degree from Africa University and is a delegate at the 2024 Forbes Africa Summit. He is also the founder of Samora Central, a platform that shares stories and curates opportunities for young African scholars, entrepreneurs, and creatives. Born in Rusape, Zimbabwe, Nyambi has emerged as a leading figure in media, blending creativity with a passion for showcasing Africa’s rich heritage.
