The List Awards 2026 Invites Nominations for Exceptional Community Leaders

Nominations for the 2026 edition of The List Awards continue to attract interest from across the region, with organisers encouraging outstanding individuals and organisations to seize the opportunity to join one of Southern and East Africa’s most prestigious platforms for recognition, networking and growth.

The Awards, founded by Identities Media Holdings recognizes individuals that embody the values of Ubuntu and hunhu- those who dedicate themselves to uplifting others, creating lasting change in communities.

The List Awards has positioned itself as a transformative platform that connects finalists and winners with influential leaders, business executives, policymakers, entrepreneurs and development partners from across the region.

Since their launch in Zimbabwe in 2024, The List Awards have steadily expanded their regional footprint into Southern and East Africa, attracting nominees whose work is making a meaningful impact in their respective communities.

In a statement, The List Awards Board Chairperson, Pastor Philani Nyatsanza said the awards were created to celebrate individuals making impactful contributions in communities.

“The List Awards was created to honour these individuals, the quiet leaders, the innovators, the community builders, and the champions of humanity whose impact deserves recognition. As we open nominations for 2026, we invite the region to help us uncover and celebrate the extraordinary people shaping our collective future,” he said.

Nominations, which opened on June 15, 2026, will close on July 26, 2026. Individuals aged 18 and above are eligible for nomination across various categories.

The platform offers much more than trophies and accolades. Finalists get to benefit from extensive exposure, access to strategic networking opportunities and engagement with individuals who can open doors to partnerships, mentorship and career advancement.

In addition, finalists attending the awards receive hospitality and welfare support, ensuring that deserving nominees from different locations can participate in the experience without being excluded by financial constraints.

For many past participants, the value of the platform has extended beyond the awards night itself. The connections forged through The List Awards have led to business opportunities, collaborations, mentorship relationships and increased visibility for projects and initiatives.

With its unique blend of recognition, financial rewards, regional exposure and access to influential networks, The List Awards continues to distinguish itself as one of the most impactful platforms for celebrating excellence and leadership in the region.
