Teen Fest ZW Sets a New Standard for Youth Events in Zimbabwe

The inaugural Teen Fest ZW, set to take place at Borrowdale Racecourse on August 22, 2026, offers a refreshing answer. More than just another event on the entertainment calendar, it represents a much-needed shift in how we create and curate spaces for Zimbabwe’s younger generation.

At a time when Zimbabwe is grappling with rising concerns around drug and substance abuse among young people, the need for positive recreational alternatives has never been greater. Many youths have long expressed frustration over the lack of safe spaces where they can socialize, be entertained, and express themselves without exposure to harmful influences.

Teen Fest ZW boldly responds to this challenge. Its clear stance against drugs, alcohol, smoking, vaping, violence, and bullying sends a powerful message that entertainment does not have to be tied to substance use. By promoting a culture of “mocktails over cocktails,” the festival demonstrates that fun, creativity, and community can thrive in a clean and safe environment.
