The inaugural BIOSKOP Short Film Competition saw a total number of 42 short films being submitted this year from filmmakers across Zimbabwe, as well as Zimbabwean filmmakers in the diaspora (Europe). The selection was then whittled down to the final 5 winning films.

The European Film Festival Zimbabwe 2020 is calling on all filmmaker’s from across Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans in the diaspora (Europe) to participate in the launch of this year’s virtual short film competition, BIOSKOP!
The festival will engage locally and internationally based Zimbabwean film practitioners, as well as European and African filmmakers, in in-depth interactive discussions and interviews in collaboration with our partners in the Input Sessions.
