NAMA 2022 readies to celebrate creative excellence

The National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) is Zimbabwe’s biggest and most anticipated award event on the calendar, drawing multi-sectoral creatives into one space and orchestrating historic moments of success. Zim Hip Hop Awards 2021 clears the air, honours Dogder

Hip hop royalty still came out from Bulawayo, Harare and other cities and celebrated another year of excellence. Only 100 people were allowed into the venue. The event program had to be cut short and completed  before regulated curfew hours and people were dispersed from the Bulawayo Theatre well in time to be out of the CBD before 9pm. BET Awards 2021 “Year of the Black Woman” : Full Winners list

The BET (Black Entertainment TV) Awards, which celebrate achievements by black artists, was this year based on the theme, “Year of the Black Woman”. The awards held on Sunday at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles California, USA were a top drawer as the Awards returned to the live show format and welcomed back an in-person, vaccinated audience along with a red carpet. AWARDS: Zimbabwean film MIRAGE nominated 3 times at the AMAA

Mirage” has been nominated for not only one, but 3 awards for Africa’s most prestigious award – the AMAA (African Movie Academy Award). The nominations are for best soundtrack (Prudence Katomeni Mbofana and Gwevedzi), best actress in a supporting role (Charmaine Mujeri) and the main award for the best first feature film by a director (Malaika Mushandu).
