Eddie Ndhlovu, an acclaimed film producer known for his impactful storytelling, is poised to make waves in the cinematic landscape once again. Following the success of his 2024 feature film Nyanga, which received numerous international accolades, Ndhlovu’s Bundu TV series also triumphed, securing the Outstanding Television Production Award at the ZAFTAs. These achievements not only highlight his creative prowess but also underscore his influential role in shaping the local television and film industry.

Looking ahead to 2025, Ndhlovu has set ambitious “double action” goals, aiming to double the number of projects he has previously undertaken. “This ambition is fueled by my commitment to producing meaningful content,” he states. Additionally, he plans to focus on training and policy-making to foster the industry’s growth.”
This year, Ndhlovu announced the production of a gripping medical drama titled Rhodesville, co-created with his colleague Jakov Dakovic.”
Set in a privately-owned hospital located at the intersection of medium- and low-density neighborhoods, Rhodesville delves into the intricate lives of its diverse characters. The series addresses personal struggles, ethical dilemmas, and professional challenges within the healthcare system and socio-economic context, serving as a microcosm of society that highlights critical issues of race, class, and interpersonal relationships. The talented cast includes Jakov Dakovic, Cherron Phillips, Anneline Gwasira, Rutendo Karipfuwe, Benhildah Kandawasvika, Collin Ncube, Zolile Makeleni, Tarnia Sakubvutwa, Tadeo Nzuda, Lorna Chidoba, and Hardlife Makuku.
In addition to Rhodesville, Ndhlovu is producing Taona, a poignant film addressing the pressing issue of early marriages affecting young girls. This project is deeply rooted in his experiences working with NGOs in communities grappling with this challenge.
Ndhlovu is also developing a web series titled Gogo Ninja, centered around the vibrant character of Charity Mahova-Matavo. The series draws inspiration from his earlier short film Gogo P, in which Charity played the lead role. The title Gogo Ninja pays tribute to her unique spirit and resilience.”
Furthermore, Ndhlovu is working on two compelling documentaries: one tracing the life of Apostle Moreblessing Bishi, from the catwalk to the pulpit in the UK, and another addressing the urgent issue of human-wildlife conflict, exploring the complexities of coexistence.
