Macdonald “MacDee” Chidavaenzi is a multi-talented creative genius from Zimbabwe but now based in the UK. His works have played a huge role in shaping the music landscape in several ways having started his career during the Urban Grooves era.

The soft-spoken and humble MacDee has produced a staggering number of hit songs for established and rising artists, with thousands of tracks across various genres. His work with artists like Trevor Dongo, Leonard Mapfumo, EX-Q, King Shaddy, Diana Samkange, Bethen Pasinawako, Plaxedes Wenyika, Alexio Kawara, and Extra Large has earned him recognition as a “producer with a Midas touch.

While known for his Urban Grooves productions, MacDee’s versatility shines through his work with gospel artists (Zimpraise, Pastor G, Kudzi Nyakudya, Sabastian Magacha), highlighting his ability to adapt to different styles. As a matter of fact he co-founded Zimpraise.
