Kae Chaps is fully established as one of the top talents that have graced the Zimbabwean music scene. With that in mind, his work ethic from the Juzi breakout hit is surely commendable. The year 2024 provides testament to such claims as he has been dominating charts with Madiro. The new song Daka is subject to this review.

To begin with, it remains topical in Kae’s journey on what genre can fully accommodate his wheelhouse. To indulge in the rap contemporaries or swing soulful vocals? Good thing is the music terrain he has mapped has been clear with mainstream intentions.
The new song Daka is actually playful and exhibits wit in his writing. I mean people are easily tempted to corrupt an artist’s sincere intention with the choice of words employed. At the same time Kae Chaps cannot be defended as he is soon to face the court when performing that song.
In this song Kae Chaps relives his upbringing and its upheavals giving listeners his heads of argument justifying the prevailing attitude which replete with pomposity – Daka Rako Mhani!”
The video is quite fair. Mitch Uta and the team do not seem to have sufficiently prepared a storyline for this one and the lyrics attached to the video prove that the follow up production is entirely promotional.
