Julian King Supports Local Students with School Fees and Supplies

Julian King, a multifaceted artist and inspirational speaker, has taken a significant step in supporting education through his personal initiative. Recently, King, known for his hit song “One by One,” revealed that he is actively involved in covering tuition fees and providing school supplies for students across various educational levels, from primary school to university.

“I have this personal initiative where I pay for school kids’ tuition and buy them school supplies,” King shared. His efforts highlight his deep commitment to giving back to his community, particularly focusing on children from Chitungwiza, where he was born. In his latest endeavor, King chose to assist 10 children at Seke Hospital, ensuring they have the resources needed to continue their education.

To further inspire and engage his supporters, King created a short video showcasing his charitable work, encouraging fans to watch and share it. He emphasized that by supporting his music, fans are also supporting his charitable endeavors, stating, “Hatipe nekuti tinazvo asi tinazvo nekuti tinopa” (We don’t give because we have, but we have because we give).

Julian King, born Julian Lennon Kanombirira, was named after Julian Lennon, the son of Beatles legend John Lennon, who is also an artist. King’s musical journey is deeply rooted in his educational background. He graduated at the top of his class with an Honors Degree in Accounting from Africa University, a prestigious Pan-African institution known for its diverse student body. During his time at Africa University, King collaborated with students from Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Nigeria, enriching his musical diversity and creativity.

King’s musical talents have taken him on tours across South Carolina, Mississippi, Kansas, and Texas, where he has raised scholarships for thousands of disadvantaged children at Africa University. His music blends deep devotional worship with Afropop dance tunes, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

Beyond his musical achievements, Julian King holds two Masters Degrees—one in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and another in Music. Despite his academic and artistic accomplishments, King remains humble and grounded, driven by a desire to inspire others to be the best version of themselves. This is reflected in the positive messages in his music, which are rooted in biblical principles.”
