In many ways, Hanna could be a wonderkid. We got candidly close to her story the day she hosted a listening party at Old Rock a week before the drop. There is always a lot more to an artist than what meets the eyes and ears. Which we prioritize as well in the short write-up.

Hanna’s career is renowned especially in the hip hop streets. She has made her mark in parts of South African music as well as at the local level. To question her talent would definitely be ‘reaching’. She is aware of the gift. Her oozing confidence is usually all over the place. It is an impression derived from how she evidently put together the event and making sure her supporters get comfortable in her vicinity.
The Extended Play titled Guilt Free speaks to her dilemma of having to decide whether the music is her destined career or she will stick to parental jurisdiction of seeing their child excel academically before she gets employed somewhere for a 9-5. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, it is in every youth’s dream to be in a position where they are able to author how they turn out as adults.
The lead single from the EP, Guilt Free is where the subject matter of the project is bundled. She swears that she cannot settle for less. In hip hop the flex is in stepping over your nemesis. Imaginary or real, one has to feel seen and respected. That could also explain the apparent mood detected in the whole project composition in which she is unapologetically proud of herself. She managed to graduate despite a looming music career that could have led her to drop out.
