Preparations for the highly anticipated NUBIAN NOTES – A Celebration of Women in Music concert are at an advanced stage, with Gateway Stream Media confirming that all groundwork is now in place ahead of the November 8 event at the Harare International Convention Centre (HICC).
Organised by Gateway Stream Media, a subsidiary of Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG), in collaboration with ZAR Events, the concert is set to make history as Zimbabwe’s biggest all-female music celebration under the theme “Mambokadzi – The Rise of Her Sound.”
The show will feature stellar performances from Feli Nandi, Gemma Griffiths, Tamy Moyo, Shashl, and Nisha Ts, in what promises to be a spectacular night honouring womanhood, creativity, and the vibrant spirit of Zimbabwean music.
“Preparations are going as planned, and the energy from the fans has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Gateway Stream Media Manager, Elton Kurima. “Ticket sales are moving well, and it’s clear that people are ready for this one-of-a-kind celebration of women in music.”
Kurima added that NUBIAN NOTES aligns with Gateway Stream Media’s mission to empower artists and promote local talent. “We’re not just hosting a concert; we’re creating an ecosystem that celebrates artistry and creativity. This event is for everyone — a celebration of sound, strength, and togetherness,” he said.
ZAR Events founder Connie Mazani promised fans an unforgettable experience. “Expect electrifying performances, captivating DJs, and an immersive atmosphere. Becky K from Capitalk and KVG from Star FM will host the show, with DJ Yahya Goodvibes on the decks,” she said.
The performers also expressed excitement ahead of the concert. Shashl said, “Women are redefining creativity across every space. We’re innovators, leaders, and storytellers shaping culture. Expect energy, emotion, and elegance — a soulful celebration of womanhood and unity.”
Gemma Griffiths added, “It’s about time we had something like this. My set will reflect my personal journey — love, life, and growth — all through authentic Zimbabwean energy.”
Tamy Moyo teased surprises in her performance, saying, “There are moments even the stage won’t see coming. It’s a blend of story and soul.”
Feli Nandi summed it up: “It’s more than a show; it’s a statement. Women belong at the front. Expect fireworks — and maybe a few surprise male collaborations!”
Tickets are available at Rainbow Towers Hotel, MedOrange Pharmacies, and online at events.gatewaystream.com for US$15 (Standard) and US$30 (VIP). Organisers have advised that no tickets will be sold at the venue on the day of the event.
