What started as a Facebook post and #eartotheground, has evolved into an award-winning multifaceted media entity with this amazing new website, nearly 1,000 articles published by 20+ writers and contributors, a wealth of digital content across various social platforms, an annual festival and creative business conference (AMPLIFAYA), a TV show, a groundbreaking mobile studio (the KOMBI STATION), stirring critical national creative conversations, 3 National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) nominations, and so, much, more.

Seven years ago, I embarked on a journey fueled by passion, driven by vision, and guided by a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of African creativity – Plot Mhako, founder.

earGROUND is now at the vanguard of Zimbabwean and African arts culture, dedicated to documenting and amplifying emerging and established luminaries.
