It’s been 10 years since Pee-Kay released the music video for the chart-topping hit single “Ma1” featuring BaShupi.

The music video featured several cameos from the likes of Jnr Brown, DJ Smiley, DJ Raydizz, Pokello, D’Banj, Sulumani Chimbetu, Sensei Mugo Fitness, and others, and the remix also had a star-studded lineup including the likes of Stunner, Roki, Bkay and Kazz, Legend Elly, Briss Mbada, and MMT. 2014 was a great year for Pee-Kay, which also saw him release the well-received song “Kwakumberi,” performing at many shows, and winning three Zim Hip Hop Awards for Best Newcomer, Best Male, and Best Song.
The huge popularity of “Ma1” prompted him to reshoot it as “Ma1 Reloaded” in South Africa, which had cameos from AB Crazy, Nadia Nakai and Buffalo Souljah. Even before the success of “Ma1,” Pee-Kay was known for having good collaborations with different artists, but no one could have predicted the one with Jamaican superstar Busy Signal for “Show Me Love,” produced by Simba Tagz. He also flew all the way to Kingston, Jamaica, to shoot the visuals. This proved the importance of networking and being connected. When he was in the US in 2013, he met Jay Reed from Bad Boy Records, whom he had initially met in 2005 also in the US, and he is the one who connected him with Busy Signal.

He also managed to secure a collaboration with Winky D for “Spakwa Wega” in 2015.
The success he was having at the time would also see him share the stage with the likes of Uhuru, Micasa, and Sean Kingston.
