Prince’s healing music infuses smooth inspirational voices and sweet gospel harmonies into contemporary afro fusion, house, and afro beat rythims – creating a unique brand of soul psalms that uplifts and inspires.
The artist started to develop interest in music in high school and started to record in 2015 as a Zimdancehall artist. He says he was inspired by the late Souljah Love’s music which was narrating his and people’s life experiences.

„I recorded more than 10 Zimdancehall songs by then that includes Mwanasikana which is on the Zimbo flavour riddim by Levels of Chilspot Records and Ndozvinoita Rudo on the Bodyslam riddim by PTK.”
Later on Prince Chigwida joined the Zion Christian Church (ZCC Mbungo) in Masvingo and he fell in love with the ZCC music and it’s vibe and that is when he moved from Zimdancehall to Gospel and mbira music. The talented artist says he draws inspiration from artists like Jah Prayzah and the late Chiwoniso Maraire.
Chigwida recorded his first Album in 2018 titled Dziva Rokupona which carries 8 tracks and was recorded by Mambo Hermas the producer behind Obert Chari’s hit song Mebo Mebo.

In 2019 he went on to record his second album titled Zion Nditakure which he says re-affirmed his style of music. The lead track Zion Nditakure was then remixed by popular hip hop artist Maskiri which moved him to start working harder to make sure that his music reach and inspires everyone even outside the church.
„Through the love and support from the fans I kept on composing and recording songs and did my 3rd Album in 2020 titled GORE RINO NDEZVEDUWO with 8 tracks. The album was including a collaboration that I did with Trymore Bande titled Rwakaendepi Rudo.“
After 4 albums and 4 singles, Prince Chigwida has finally found his breakthrough. His story speaks of determination, talent and consistence.
The now South Africa based musician has worked with so many producers from his hometown of Kadoma such as Mayo studios , TC music productions, Trombil Studios with producer Taffy who recorded Mostaf and Leah’s hit song Tsamba.
Prince Chigwida revealed that his latest Album is a continuation of his work to bring peace and enlightenment and healing to the world through music in these troublous times.
