Multi-award winning IYASA riding high on their new single “Babizeni Bonke”

On a quest to continuously entertain music lovers across the globe multi-award winning dance troupe Inkululeko Yabatsha school of Arts (IYASA) recently released a new single titled “Babizeni Bonke”.

The new song written by IYASA director Nkululeko Innocent Dube was produced by celebrated music producer Oskid worked with IYASA in producing the song. Oskid has previously worked with a number of outstanding Zimbabwean musicians among them Winky D, Killer T and Roki among others.

Afrika Alive released in 2014 was IYASA’s last studio album, the project featured the track “S’jaiva Sibancane” which was a favorite of many and topped charts on some of Zimbabwe’s leading radio stations. 

“The song is a fusion of Afro and retro sound from the street vibes of Africa, the strong reflects on the beauty and memories of growing up in Africa,”

IYASA director Nkululeko Innocent Dube. 

The music video was shot in some parts of Makokoba, Mzilikazi and Barbourfields by Bulawayo based production house Keaitse Films. 

“The song is a vibrant invitation to all the people regardless of color, race or creed to the exciting culture of the City that natured us Bulawayo, the rest of Zimbabwe and Africa at large,” Dube highlighted. 

Inkululeko Yabatsha School of Arts is Zimbabwe’s multi award winning performing arts school for youths established in 2001 to support and promote the best interests of young musicians, dancers, actors and poets. IYASA rose to fame with the rendition of Solomon Skuza’s hit song Banolila where they featured Chase Skuza.
