Kellogg’s Dance Africa Dance: Meet resident judge Paul Modjadji

From roaring success in India to inevitable greatness in Singapore, now ZEE WORLD has expended its horizons even further to the continent of Africa. 10 Countries out of 52 countries on the continent have been selected to battle it out every week for the chance to be crowned Kellogg’s Dance Africa Dance Champions.

Following its much anticipated premiere on Saturday, 18 September 2021, the show aims to uncover the continent’s best dance team!

Hosted by actor and dancer Pacou Mutombo the top 10 Countries’ fate rests in the hands of the show’s capable judges. Internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer Paul Modjadji and Miss World India Krsna-Priya Dasa are resident judges alongside a string of guest judges comprising of Africa’s top celebrity names such as Nigeria’s Big Brother darling Omashola Oburoh, Democratic Republic of Congo’s Model and Actor Joe Kazadia and Zimbabwe’s media personality Chinyani amongst a long list of celebrities featured in the hit dance show.

Chair spinning resident judge Paul Modjadji is a South African celebrated Dancer Choreographer, entrepreneur, and a passionate social developer with a keen interest in Youth Development. He was the first African dancer to win the Dance Star World Masters Champion title, in the Jazz category (2011), a recipient of the South African Youth Award for Arts and Entertainment category (2012) and a recipient of the Global Young Leaders Award from the Global Youth Leadership Congress in Washington DC. Paul also scored top adult dancer accolade at the 2013 Talent America Showcase, in the USA. 

Modjadji’s is no stranger to Zimbabwe.

He has been to Mutare to screen Africa’s first made for cinema dance film at Jibilika Dance Festival, Hear Me Move, for which he choreographed and during the filming of the Breaking Down Borders Africa Documentary series for which he visited Zimbabwe with a film crew to scout for talent for the Dance Star World Masters.

Kellogg’s Dance Africa Dance, Zee World’s first reality dance competition in Africa, is an expression of dance that transcends all barriers and boundaries and, in this Afro-Indian explosion there will be two dance champions: one Team and one Solo winner. 

Post evaluation of entries from more than 28 countries, has led to Top 10 dance teams representing 10 African countries (Angola, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, DR Congo, Uganda, Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Zambia, Cameroon, Ghana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe). Each team is tasked with weekly pre-assigned themed performances as they compete against each other for judges’ points. 

The Kellogg’s Dance Arica Dance champion will walk away with cash prizes, reputed brand of appliances and gift hampers! Catch Zimbabwean Dance Crew Extreme Dreamers as they win the judge’s hearts weekly only on Kellogg’s Dance Africa Dance. 

Kellogg’s Dance Africa Dance is currently on air every Saturday evening at 7pm on Zee World on DStv Channel 166 and GoTv Channel 125.
