The talented artist from Beitbridge does House, Amapiano and Gqom music in Venda and mixes up with a bit of Shona and Ndebele.

Born Gift Lihlohonolo the musician was grew up in the southern border town of Beitbridge and started doing music in 2013 when he was doing his A levels at JZ Moyo High School. To date he has released 2 albums namely African Child and Khakhamela (meaning the great one in Venda).
A lot of great artists from towns and regions outside of the capital struggle to break through to the mainstream as most platforms and opportunities are centralised in Harare. I hope this young talent will defy the limits and flourish lest we hear of his musical genius from across the bridge in South Africa.
It is refreshing to hear more languages getting space. Check out his latest project. The video resonates with the desires and prayers of most young people. It captures the realities of youths in communities and celebrates the blessings from the Lord.
