Hey Hey Preacher

After being suffocated by the restrictions of the Lockdown, and reminiscing of better days, Hey Hey Preacher writes this powerful and emotional piece where he expresses his desire  for the lockdown to end so he can go outside and be with his girlfriend and other loved ones.

He also touches on other issues and problems that were brought about by the lockdown such as Gender based and Domestic violence as well as the frustration of the working population. All of this wrapped up in beautiful shona wordplay and vernacular expressing the need to go outside.

Panze was animated by Kakic Universe, an emerging Zimbabwean based multimedia production house that takes pride in producing high quality products over various media that is animation, short films and illustrations. Their portfolio of productions includes the hilarious Long John: The Animated Show of multi-awarding winning Zimbabwean comedian Long John.
