Talent alone is not sufficient enough to build a career in music and Tino Matz real name Tinotenda Matamba is one artist who understood and enrolled at the University of Johannesburg where he recently graduated at the University Of Johannesburg with two degrees.

A versatile musician who does a mix of Afro beat, hip-hop, RnB and always had an interest in music from a young age but had no idea how he could create his own sound until when he was in grade 11that he decided to put his passion and desire into composing songs and recording.
Born in Zimbabwe but growing up in South Africa, Tino Matz joins several diaspora based artists who are reconnecting with their motherland to make music and grow careers.
Despite his growing desire to pursue music whilst in university, Matz struggled to balance the two but still managed to utilize his pastime to fulfil his passion.
Now that he has completed not only one degree program but two, Tino is ready to fly his musical career whilst putting Zimbabwe on the global radar.
Having dropped several videos and his first Ep titled The Gift Unwrapped which was basically a collection of songs that gave people a glimpse of what he can create as well as the diversity that comes with his art. Carrying 8 tracks, the 2017 production led with two singles titled She Falling and Show You Flames which respectively did very well on online platforms.
The project was very diverse and had a mixture of genres, reason for tapping into different genres as he tried a hand on different beats from different genres furthermore without limiting himself to one rigid genre.
After a year and a half sabbatical, the artist has just announced that he is back with a new Afro-pop inspired project titled Supply and Demand which is a singles collection and the first single titled Procrastinating (Proca) is out now on all digital platforms and he sees it as his gift to the people that believed in him as well as showcasing the gift God gave him.
