Internationally acclaimed Zimbabwe musician Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi has died. He was a musician, businessman, philanthropist, human rights activist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Southern Africa Region. Tuku was Zimbabwe’s most renowned and internationally recognised cultural icon of all time.
He passed away at Avenues Clinic in Harare in the morning of Wednesday 23rd of January 2019. He was born in Highfield Harare on September 22, 1952. His death cast a dark cloud on the country and the world into a state of mourning.
