There is a good number of young and talented voices emerging from towns outside of the capital and Ijahson is one. Emerging from Kwekwe, the dancehall sensation is a gifted chanter and singer who deserves your ear.

This is the second time in a year that EARGROUND is writing on the rising star. Such is his compelling musical prowess that we cant afford to ignore him.
Realname Simbarashe Dzvuke born on the 27th September 1992 in Kwekwe and currently studying a diploma in Information Technology at Kwekwe Polytechnic.
The Zimdancehall artist today drops his second album titled Dzinotungana. We sampled the tracks and i must say the album is jam packed and oozes maturity for a genre often seen by elders as just youthful and playful.
His debut offering was a singles collection which was featured collaborations with the likes of Lady Squanda, Nox and Jay C.
Ijahson started singing since childhood and recorded his first song when he was in form one at Manunure high school and he was also in the Methodist Church choir where he attributes his vocal coaching to.
“DZINOTUNGANA the album is all about wats happening in the ghetto where we are living.” Loaded with songs that give a mirror to today`s struggles and hustles by the youth.
The album release will also be followed by a video for the title track. Set for tonight at Achievers Nighclub in Mbizo, Kwekwe the event will lineup Tiny Trigger Stallion and veteran Dj Fydale who is also mentoring the young artist.
Consisting of 13 tracks produced by 6 top producers of Zimbabwe such as Tman of Mount Zion, Cymplex, Tyfah Guni of Ice & Roses, Dj fyadale and King Percy.
More shows are lined up with one on the first of December at Golden Mile alongside hip hop star Takura and Powerfm Dj Merciless then on the 24th of December he will be perfoming alongside Winky d, Jah signal and kanjiva hit maker Enzo Ishall.
